The graphical user interface, known as GUI, is not as impressive as we have seen in other viruses. The creators of the Smart HDD Virus did not put too much time into creating a realistic looking program. Unfortunately though they put a lot of time into creating an extremely malicious virus. An image of the GUI is below.

Immediately upon infection the Smart HDD program will appear. At first most users do not realize that this is a fake program. The GUI looks real and the computer does seem to have the issues that the bogus program states. Unfortunately though it is all a charade, a well orchestrated social engineering tactic used by cyber criminals.

Becoming infected with the Smart HDD Virus can happen in many different ways. The majority of the time computer users do not even realize that they have unknowingly downloaded the virus. This particular type of virus is spread through the use of a infectious file, that when downloaded, immediately infects your computer with Smart HDD.

The cyber criminals who created this bogus repair program did not simply create a realistic looking GUI. They also wanted to make sure that your computer seemed in need of repair. They specifically engineered Smart HDD to slow your computer, hide files and display all types of alerts in an attempt to trick you. Do not be fooled, the only real problem with your computer is Smart HDD itself.

You can completely remove Smart HDD from your computer by following our removal instructions.

Do not believe anything that Smart HDD states. The scans, scan results, warnings, pop ups and activation notices are all a complete lie. This is all a part of the grand deception that Smart HDD is. Your computer only has one issue and that is the Smart HDD Virus, not anything that the fake program tells you.

Remember that Smart HDD will not go away on its own. You must use a professional virus removal program to get rid of it. Attempts to do a system restore are a waste of time. The creators of Smart HDD have specifically disabled the ability to perform a system restore on your computer.
