System Defender Virus Removal: The Latest Major Virus Spreading Fast

System Defender, or as many others know it, Windows Advanced Security Center, is a rogue security program that is being quickly spread across the Internet. This is a virus that, once downloaded, generates false advertisements and fake security issues.

When System Defender is installed on a user’s computer, it will cause pop-ups stating that the computer is at risk of security threats, and that the only way to clean the computer is by downloading even more software. It will also modify the Windows registry so that every time Windows starts, so does System Defender.
Unfortunately, even when the user has a legitimate virus protection running on their computer, System Defender can disable it. The rogue program will also try to block Internet access to keep the user from downloading other security programs.

Downloading the registered version will allow the virus to receive access to the user’s bank accounts and personal information.

The System Defender virus creates fake files which will inform the user that a virus scan is occurring, and that there are infected files found on the computer. It will state that these files need to be removed by purchasing the registered version of the program. Unfortunately, many people fall prey to this because they panic over their computer possibly being at risk. Downloading the registered version will allow the virus to receive access to the user’s bank accounts and personal information.

Additionally, a newer version of the virus has been reported, which may contain updated graphical user interface. The purpose remains the same, which is stealing from those who find it downloaded on their computer.
