Windows Antibreach Module Virus – Removal Instructions

Windows Antibreach Module is a computer virus that infects the Windows Operating System. Windows Antibreach Module is considered to be rogue and belongs to the Rogue.FakeVimes virus family. The Windows Antibreach Module virus takes the form of a virus protection program, even though it is not a legitimate protection program. The fake Windows Antibreach Module virus protection will scan the files on a computer and report that there are numerous infections even though there are no infected files. Windows Antibreach Module will even show bogus results of files that do not even exist on the computer. After showing the results of the fake scan, the program will ask the user for their credit card information to purchase the full version of the protection.

Windows Antibreach Module claims that paying the fee will allow the program to remove all of the infected files. However, it will not remove any of the files claimed to be infected, and the fake virus protection software will remain on the computer. The fee should never be paid because it is a scam designed to make users think that the computer is infected when it really isn’t. Windows Antibreach Module will also have the credit card information, resulting in possible credit card or identity theft.

Windows Antibreach Module is often downloaded onto a computer without the user knowing that it is being downloaded. It is often downloaded hidden behind a fake notification that the flash player must be updated in order to view a video on an infected website. Once Windows Antibreach Module is downloaded into a computer, it will hide in the files and folders already on the computer and it will automatically start running whenever a user logs into Windows. Windows Antibreach Module will prevent programs on the computer from running correctly. The virus will stop any legitimate virus protection software from running to protect itself from being detected and removed from the computer.

Windows Antibreach Module will also prevent browsers to display web pages correctly. A popup will appear saying that the webpage is infected and may contain malware that will infect the users computer. However, the websites are safe, and the warnings can be ignored. If the Windows Antibreach Module virus is left in a computer for a long period of time, it will infect multiple files on the computer and eventually cause the system to stop working completely. It is best to remove the Windows Antibreach Module virus as quickly as possible to prevent further damage.
